The first half of January was pretty packed for the fam. We flew out from Manila at 3am on January 1 (pagkatapos na pagkatapos ng putukan) to visit Wax’s side of the family in Bukidnon. On the way, we passed thru Cagayan de Oro and saw some of the disaster areas struck by Sendong. Grabe kawawa talaga, wasak-wasak yung mga bahay tapos ung mga matitibay na natira, puro lupa yung mga bubong. I could only pray for the victims’ comfort. It’s sad that some of them lost their family members and had to celebrate the holidays in anguish. I hope I took some pictures so I could post them here. I wasn’t able to take any because my cam was in the backest back of the car.
On a lighter note….
We had tons of fun in Malaybalay during our vacation. We went swimming (who doesn’t swim on their vacation, right?), we harvested chicken eggs (YES! We took dem eggs from their mommas!), Niobe and Wax did the zipline, we ate toooons of good food, and most importantly, we celebrated OB’s birthday. Fun overload! So..pictures. DAY 2 — Swimming Agad
We spent a whole day at MGM Resort in Musuan(?) with Ate Sheila and Cocoy’s (her husband) side of the family. We picked up our favorite chocolate drink on the way.

We never fail to grab this yummy chocolate milk whenever we're there. The bottles are sold in a university dairy product outlet of some sort. They're always fresh!
"Bawal ang Sabit" doesn't mean anything to these guys -- This was a jeepney I spotted in the parking lot when we were packing up. They were still waiting for their other friends to o̶v̶e̶r̶load the vehicle. I think 3 more kids will fit if the others would scoot over.
DAY 4 — NIOBE’S 4th BIRTHDAY (Prepare to be OB-fied)
OB’s bday was celebrated her day at the RR Resort just close to MGM (I think both are owned by the same guys). The whole family was there, too so it was awesome. Good food! Then we went home and partied and ate some more! Merong kinilaw, sinugba, liempo, jelly, cake, maja..basta andaming pagkaen!!!
